NEW ZEALAND - NORTH ISLAND TRIP 2025 I have just returned from a wonderful trip to New Zealand's North Island. I spent a week in this beautiful country and saw Rotorua and Auckland. New Zealand is made up of two islands, the North island and the South island, as I mentioned previously, I saw only the North island, however I would love to return to this beautiful country one day and see the South Island as well. DAY ONE Arriving In New Zealand My first day in New Zealand, I really didn't see much of anything as I spent the entire time resting up at my hotel, I stayed in the Novotel directly opposite Auckland International Airport. The hotel itself was very nice and comfortable and best of all it had a bath!!! that is always a plus for me as I love a nice hot bath before bed.
